These guidelines are mandatory across all operational units of CRM-III

🔧 PLTCM – Pickling Line Tandem Cold Mill
  • Stay clear of moving strip and tension reels.
  • Handle acid carefully using chemical-resistant PPE.
  • Never bypass safety interlocks.
🔥 BAF – Bell Annealing Furnace
  • Keep away from hot surfaces during cycles.
  • Use heat-resistant gloves and aprons.
  • Ensure proper ventilation to avoid gas buildup.
🧪 HDGL – Hot Dip Galvanizing Line
  • Wear heat-resistant PPE near zinc pots.
  • Watch for splash hazards and hot dross.
  • Stand clear of molten metal areas.
⚡ ECL – Electrolytic Cleaning Line
  • Avoid contact with electrolytes—wear chemical PPE.
  • Use lockout/tagout (LOTO) for maintenance.
  • Ensure fume extraction systems are working.
📦 CPL – Coil Packaging Line
  • Keep safe distance from turntables and strapping arms.
  • Use coil lifters—avoid manual handling.
  • Watch out for sharp steel edges.
🧾 TLIL – Tension Leveller & Inspection Line
  • Stay away from rotating rollers.
  • Wear gloves when handling strips.
  • Ensure proper lighting for defect inspection.
🏗️ Crane Operations
  • Never walk under a suspended load.
  • Use clear hand signals and communication.
  • Inspect slings and hooks before use.
💨 H₂ Plant – Hydrogen Generation
  • Hydrogen is explosive—no smoking or sparks.
  • Wear flame-resistant & anti-static PPE.
  • Check for gas leaks regularly.
💧 ETP – Effluent Treatment Plant
  • Wear chemical-resistant gloves and eyewear.
  • Follow MSDS for all chemical handling.
  • Do not dispose of waste without ETP clearance.
